Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the 'Agreement') govern your access to and use of the [Website/App Name] services. This document details user responsibilities, limitation of liability, account termination protocols, and governing law. We encourage all users to read these terms carefully, as they constitute a binding contract regarding your legal rights. Please contact us below for questions.

Labor Rates

  • Labor & Service Fees

  • Standard Labor: $160.00 / hr at shop. 

  • Mobile Rates: $175/ hr

  • Emergency Service: $262.50 / hr (1.5x rate) + $250.00 Emergency Fee

  • Minimum Service Charge: Two (2) hour labor minimum applies to all service calls.

  • Travel & Logistics

  • Travel Time: $150.00 / hr

    • Calculated round-trip from our base of operations to your vessel to nearest quarter of an hour.

  • Facility Fees: Any parking, marina access, or outside contractor fees charged by the facility will be billed directly to the final invoice.

​      Consumables & Shop Supplies

  • Shop Supply Fee: A surcharge (up to 10% of total labor) covers essential workshop consumables. This ensures your project utilizes high-quality marine-grade materials without the need for line-itemizing every small component.

    • Includes: Wire, electrical connectors, sealants, adhesives, fasteners, heat shrink, and specialized tapes.

Equipment & Component Sales

  • All parts, materials, and equipment supplied are billed at the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP). In instances where a MAP is not enforced or established by the manufacturer, pricing will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the current market list price as determined by the company.

Customer 
Supplied parts

  • We do not accept supplied parts, only with the exception it is fully custom. 

  • Labor-Only Warranty: Our professional warranty covers the installation labor only. We guarantee the quality of our wiring, mounting, and integration.

  • Hardware Responsibility: The client assumes 100% responsibility for the hardware itself. We provide no warranty, expressed or implied, on the functionality, performance, or longevity of client-supplied components.

  • Manufacturer Recalls/Failures: In the event of a hardware failure or "out-of-box" defect, the client is responsible for all manufacturer claims. Any labor required to remove, troubleshoot, or reinstall a replacement part will be billed at our labor rates pending shop/ mobile. 

Payments, Estimates, Invoices.

  • Estimates & Final Billing: Estimates are based on initial assessments and serve as professional approximations rather than guaranteed quotes. Final invoices will reflect the actual time and materials used. AMG Marine reserves the right to adjust final costs in exceptional circumstances; however, we will always discuss these with you in advance.

  • Deposit & Scheduling: To secure your project and begin material procurement, a deposit equal to 100% of estimated material costs is required. Your project will be officially added to our service schedule once this deposit is received.

  • Cost Transparency: If unforeseen material costs exceed the original estimate by more than $200, we will seek your approval before proceeding. This may require a supplemental deposit.

  • Payment Terms & Automation: Invoices are due upon receipt. For your convenience, if a balance remains unpaid after 15 days, the payment method on file will be automatically charged.

  • Late Fees: Balances outstanding past 30 days will incur a 10% late fee, with an additional 10% applied every 30 days thereafter until the balance is resolved.

CNC Work

  • The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of all provided drawings, 3D models (STEP, STL, DXF), and dimensions. We are not liable for errors resulting from incorrect data provided by the Customer.

  • Any adjustments made to ensure manufacturability will be submitted to the Customer for final review. Production will commence only upon receipt of written approval (email is acceptable). The initial quote includes up to two (2) design revisions; any subsequent revisions will be billed at a rate of $170.00 per instance. 

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin any custom project and to procure materials, the remaining balance is due upon completion and prior to shipping or pickup.

  • If a project is cancelled after production has begun, the Customer is responsible for the full quoted price of materials and the prorated cost of labor/machine time already expended.

  • Pricing will vary pending, design, materials and extent of work. ​

Warranty

  • Manufacturer Product Warranties: All hardware and equipment warranties are provided exclusively by the manufacturer. AMG Marine is happy to assist you in facilitating these claims. Please note that while some manufacturers cover both parts and labor for replacements, others may only cover the components themselves.

  • Workmanship Guarantee: AMG Marine stands behind its installations with a 1-year service warranty on labor, effective from the date of completion. This warranty specifically covers defects in workmanship and does not extend to normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, unauthorized modifications, or owner-supplied parts.

  • Comprehensive Insurance: For your peace of mind and protection, AMG Marine maintains dedicated Marine General Liability insurance, providing a $1,000,000 single-incident limit and a $2,000,000 aggregate limit.
